According to

buf is "The address of a pointer that will be updated to reference a buffer into which the generated signature header was placed.". Is that buffer NUL terminated?

If so, does len include that byte?

It's implied that it's NUL terminated by the use of the word string in " well as the length of the string at that location", but I'd rather have explicit than implicit documentation, so could I be sure?
